The Golden Feathered Bird

Standard

bird

Little birds only know worms and leaves
Humble things that the mother earth feeds them
Never ask for more
And never steal from the kin
Their wings are free
Yet only a couple clouds they will fly from and to home

Meanwhile, on the ground
A big beautiful bird with golden feathers
Hopelessly staring at the sky
Longing to fly away for dear life
